Pouring with rain on the first day in Greece. The harbour area, so buzzing and full of young folk the following Friday evening, was dead as I scooted around the buildings. In addition to a few water-side bars and restaurants, a cinema and a small museum on the history of the sea, there is a photography museum. It was closed on both my visits. Very disappointing.
In spite of the rain and the general depressed feel to this area of Greece’s second city, I am rather happy with the resulting shots from my 15 minutes wandering. The photograph of the Thessaloniki Harbour Wall was also taken during the same walk.
