Stainless Steel in Black and White

By In France, Gallery
Last week saw me in Bordeaux; a whistle stop tour of the huge Grands Chais De France Groupe works. They are the producers of a huge range of products with the Calvet brand perhaps the most recognisable in the UK. One corner of a hall was redolent with the aroma of oranges as they bottled a palette of Tesco Bucks Fizz. This photo gallery is an attempt at taking my usual stainless steel tank shots to a different level. Dare I say ‘art’ level? After all turning anything into a black and white image automatically makes it ‘art’!

All were taken at the ginormous and impressive Landiras facility, whish is Les Grands Chais de France’s production site near Saint-Pey-de-Castets which is to the South-East of St. Emilion. A vintage lens was used to take these; with a vague hope that some kind of vintage aesthetic would impart itself on the photos.

Well done. Really interesting images, from objects I often just skip over.
