Of the 20 or so images of the near-dead plant this seemed to offer the most potential. A fair amount of processing – darkening, sharpening adapted from a post on PhotographyBB forum (adapted as the process was written in 2007 and Photoshop has changed a bit since then!) and the overlay of a free border texture. It might also have seen a boost in Color Efex Pro too. But I cant recall the specifics.
The texture is subtle; more a border really. The textures scratches I removed from the flower as a whole. Perhaps too subtle? Works better, me thinks, than the previous play with textures and a flower that used a photoshop plugin Fly Paper Textures.
