Rome In Black And White

By Andrew Barrow In Travel Galleries
Four photos taken in Rome, given the ‘square’ treatment (the square crop is currently in vogue, apparently) and given a conversion into black and white.

The set was going to be six photos. The camera during the trip was playing up and the other two shots I intended to use are out of focus. Fine(ish) on a small screen but obviously second rate when viewed at anything larger than a postage stamp in size…

The first two images (the Seagull on a Statue and Wall Lamp Shadow) were processed using a free Lightroom plugin from a photoblog I enjoy, FlixelPix. The other two images (the church detail and inside the Pantheon) were converted using the Topaz Labs B&W Effects plugin.
