Frosty Field By The Thames Oxfordshire

By In Wallingford and South Oxfordshire
I’m not sure the tree is as sharp as it could be; but this is one shot from a dawn walk along the Thames today. It looks OK on screen but when viewed at 100% in photoshop it lacks a certain crispness. I’ve been hankering to get out with the camera this winter on those days of heavy frosts and clear skies; and today I managed it. I’m the first to admit I need more practice in taking landscapes both technically and in ‘seeing’. I marvel at the shots people on twitter post and wonder why I never see similar?

This field is half-way between Wallingford and Cholsey, my back is to the Thames and the rising sun.
