Finally, after what seems an age, I’ve finally been travelling and return with some photos worthy of posting to this, rather neglected, blog. A trip exploring the wine wonders of the Languedoc saw just one day of decent non-rainy weather. Overnighting on a barge on the Canal du Rhône à Sète at Maguelone, saw a glorious sunset during dinner and an equally magnificent sunrise. The rest of the trip was mainly cloud, cloud more cloud and rain.
These three shots are from the Canal and the Alphonsia Maria. The barge is moored on tha mainland side of the canal. Sadly the footbridge across to the Cathedrale de Maguelone was down so I had to settle on taking a few shots across the water. The Cathedrale de Maguelone occupies a near island with the gentle slop to the water covered with vineyards.
